Instead,  the Council awarded a multi-billion Quanta contract to Captain’s Customs for the development of Hauler capable of fighting its own battles! Once he was done counting the suitcases of Quanta, Captain sequestered himself into his design office, stared at an aquarium in the corner for a week, jumped up, and screamed “Shark!”   What emerged from this process was a monstrosity – The Megalodon. With 7XL Expanded Containers and an M AGG, it is a hardcore hauler. "Valdez V2" Built as a Serious hauling Vessel. The ship has been created as a no-nonsense purpose-built work ship. There are no Deco elements, there are no fancy board rooms or lighting elements and plants and frilly things. Very easy to deploy with alternate color choices. The total element count is 512 as delivered. The Valdez uses 18 Advanced Optimized L containers for Cargo and 2 Advanced Optimized M containers for Scrap & Warp Cells. There are 24 Advanced Military Atmospheric Engines & 4 Advanced Safe Space Engines. It has been tested leaving Sanctuary with 10kt of Cargo (12.6 kt total ship mass). It will surely lift more from a 1g planet but 10kt it what it is being rated at. Near exact replica of the hull of a USNC Frigate Paris Class. Fully decorated interior (6 decks, 4 large store rooms, 5 smaller store rooms, hallways, additional space available to make crew accommodation (outside hallways in decks C-B). PVE edition but easily convertible to PVP ship: - Hollow space between outer hull and interior hallways/rooms allows armoring up with honeycomb where it's desired. - 4 gun predefined gun slots on front-top of ship (above the drop pod bays). This XS core, ultra light orbiter was sculpted entirely using the VPT for maximum style. Designed with fuel economy and basic parts in mind, I set out to make a sleek, easy to acquire ship that everyone can enjoy post wipe. The Luminaris has 1 Medium and 2 Small Atmospheric engines with 4 Small Space engines and has a top speed of 49,000km/h+ in space. Feel the thrill as you drift around celestial bodies and stop on a dime when you reach the end of your intrepid journey. The ship wasn’t built for hauling although 6 Basic XS Containers on a hub are provided for light shopping and carrying around your data items, spare fuel and scrap. I hope you have as much fun flying the Luminaris as I had building the ship. Achieving the tiny form factor without compromising on the elements needed to retain its performance was, in some ways, more of a challenge than on the M core Stiletto I built. The Luminaris comes with Arch HUD by default (made by Archaegeo). On top of that I have chosen to use the Container Monitor open source LUA by Krengus of ASTCO as this is a helpful script for checking weight, fuel and inventory at a glance.
