[SALES PITCH]
Whether for rapid personal transit across the length of Alioth system or as a discrete shuttle docked to an S core or larger vehicle, the elegantly practical and reliable Aurora will never let you down or leave you out of pocket!
[OVERVIEW]
Possibly one of the smallest and certainly one of the lightest fully capable XS core warp capable personal transports available.
Simple, elegant tadpole-like design with carefully balanced weight, considerations for maneuverability and most importantly Alioth reentry safety.
[KEY POINTS]
● Dry weight of just over 113t (when configured with the BP suggested 2 x advanced freight medium engines) keeps warp cell use to an absolute minimum.
● Fire the Rocket Engine at the edge of Alioth's or Thades' atmosphere to make transition to space almost effortless and improve egress time. Note that ship is capable of achieving escape velocity without rocket, with less aggressive pitching.
● L sized atmo break means huge braking potential for such a small ship, massively increasing safety.
● Full 6 DOF (6 degrees of freedom) motion in space, including reverse, lateral and vertical up and down space engines to simplify docking with Beacon Constructs. Includes auxiliary reverse and lateral atmospheric engines for hangar parking.
● Carefully placed ailerons to ensure flight integrity, even at lower atmospheric densities.
[CAVEATS]
● Since this is primarily a warp vessel rather than a freighter, space breaks are utilitarian.
● Cargo is limited to a single S container which is shared with Warp Cells.
● Note stats given based on Level 4/5 Pilot.
