The third iteration of my daily flyer, a monster of a ship strapped to a small core. Easily takes over 2 kT from Alioth with room to spare. Perfect mission flyer and doing all your daily business barring hauling megaton nodes home. A few highlights: - Absurd flight handling. has a great mass balancing and turns like an XS core. Can do flips in mid-air or brake, turn and take off in the opposite direction without a hitch. (see rotation matrix) - Very low profile. Without resorting to angled engines, the front surface is kept to an absolute minimum. Using Seawing's flush wings and carefully placing engines in a staggered formation creates vey low drag. (See max speed, capped at 1250 to prevent burns) - Depending on your final configuration and load, it has a exceptional acceleration and brake force and takes off and lands like an overgrown pocket rocket. 5G thrust empty, drops to 1G at 2200 tonnes - It may not be your taste but I tried my best to cover the elements with voxels and shape something decent out of it. It even has a cockpit which is extremely rare for utilitarian ships like this. - Excellent storage, the bulk of the ship is shaped by the XL container, it provides enough space for anything you want to carry, it will be too heavy before it is full unless you are transporting Lumi voxels. Easy access from all sides by linkes XS containers in the wings and nose. Weight balanced in the rear by the hub. - Only needs one large space and atmos fuel tank for all engines, flies for days when half full, easy to refill from all sides. The Tumata is the Industrial Flagship of Golden Oak Industries! Inspired by Tūmatauenga - "Tūmatauenga (Tū of the angry face) is the primary god (atua) of war and human activities such as hunting, food cultivation, fishing, and cooking in Māori mythology." Equipped with Four Extra Large Space Engines, Tumata has excellent space acceleration and handles easily in Atmos as well. Capable of lifting upwards of 2.5Kt of Cargo from Alioth (more on lesser gravity worlds.) All Doors/Hatches and Gates can be controlled at the individual door locations AND from a control panel on the bridge next to the command chair. There is plenty of information display room including 3 Large Transparent Screens in the cockpit plus an additional cluster of smaller screens available to the Pilot with controls for all systems. All elements including containers placed with tier 5 skills. Due to market element price volatility we are sticking to blueprints for now, 10 million for each of the three versions. This version has lower hauling capacity due to having lesser engines (uncommon military) but easier to scrape up the parts for. It's actually 0.915:1 but it made a shorter title. I put a ton of time making this a perfect shell and even more time into element placement. This version has higher hauling capacity due to rare military large engines. The interior is roughly accurate to the movie ship with some concessions made. All versions include the medium rockets. You can contact Deravi#6100 for drop-off or pick-up. - Basic: Uncommon military engines mean lower token price but wont haul as much out of 1g. - Hauler: Basic + rare military space/atmo large engines. - Smuggler: rare mil engines, exotic radar, rare weapons, steel/gold, solo setup, reduced interior. The Grindylow, by Stormsteel, is a super efficient light hauler. With no piloting skills, this ship can get 500 tons off of Alioth. The Grindylow is extremely fuel efficient, and can run the Aileron Parts mission at least 10 times on a single fuel fill. The handling in atmo is top notch and the ship is capable of gliding on its wings with little to no thrust even with weight on board. The Grindylow comes with Albatross HUD installed on the seat, and Damage Report hooked up to the two screens on the bridge. Most elements of the ship are repairable from the inside. The Grindylow includes a Resurrection Node towards the back of the ship. Stormsteel Guarantee: All Stormsteel ships come with max boosts to all piloting elements. This is a basic spaceplane with: 1)Ability to carry 21kL (<100t I guess ) in Atmo, very useful for hauling missions. 2)Low sustention speed and good maneuverability 3)Good space autonomy (an hour at full thrust) 4)Bad atmospheric autonomy(relatively. Full thrust will give you 700 km/h and ~1SU of flight. Can be increased by increasing your height or lowering the speed) 5)Good brakes 6)Maneuver engines for parking (thrust forward and sideways). Those have a separate fuel tank, so if you run out of fuel, just land and pump out of here. Elements: Most of them are basic and can be crafted in your backpack (exceptions are: container hub, M atmo-engine, cockpit, ECU and some decorative materials like luminescent glass) HUD: I'm using Albatross custom HUD for it's simplicity and height managing options (useful for hauling... just hit Alt-3 and you can leave it flying forward at set height).
