Respresenting one of the newest additions to the MCRN fleet, the Morrigan Class Patrol Destroyer was conceived as a lower-cost attack vessel, that combined the functionality of a light destroyer and a torpedo boat, to create a craft that could be constructed in large numbers and deployed to security assignments across the solar system, as well as playing a vital role in front line engagements. The craft are frequently seen alone or in pairs, patrolling civilian shipping lanes and carrying out inspections, but when deployed in a larger group, the small vessels can be a deadly opponent, especially when supported by MCRN cruisers or battleships. That would explain some of the details of the ship's design. Her two L-size containers can load plenty of space fuel for the asteroid tracking, and she also has two L-size space fuel tanks. Once an asteroid has been found in safe space, those two containers allow for a long, effective mining. From the space station where she unloaded her cargo, she can also venture into the atmosphere of planets up to 1G. Her inertia is surprisingly well balanced. She features a small compartment at her back from where the hardy space miners can start the tunnel digging. There is an own room for the captain, one for the first officer, and there are seating possibilities for up to 6 more miners.
