LiftOff brings you an evolution of monstrous proportions, the Kong. Bringing the successful design of the Silverback up to an M core size has lead to some impressive features and improvements. Depending on pilot skills the Kong can handle 3kt of cargo off of Alioth. Also equipped with maneuvering thrusters for easy adjustments when landing at space stations. On top of that it has enough seating for 20 people and is warp capable for those group outings. The large top deck can also be used to dock small and extra small ships comfortably. If you want to hop around quickly between mining units or dash to the store and back for a few items, without taking your large fuel-sucking ship, look no further! The Viper can take you anywhere planetside while having a non-boxy appearance. Just look at the screen shots and note the fine voxel detailing throughout! The ship is outfitted with: -1 container S to hold misc. odds and ends from the market. -overpowered brakes so you can float down to any destination easily. -rounded non-boxy styling from nose to engines. -and more! I loaded the container with 56t of pure iron, hematite and other ores and this ship has no troubles at all flying this, however, although the hovers lift plenty of weight, it can't lift full iron amounts of weight (I can lift about 50% of the Container S full of iron with the hovers). I took off on a straight, smooth surface with all that iron. Sustentation speed is very low (90kp/h!) to it's easy to putt-putt in the air for perfect aim in landing. I also have a compactable version with no container and a single fuel tank in a different dispenser at the same location. Was created to rescue ships and help with building or core placing ------------ current software version - 2.0.5 ------------ = Manual = *Modes This version of DHP software has two modes which you can switch by pressing manual button at the bottom of the screen. Those modes are *Manual mode* and *Elevator mode* **Moving [Manual mode] Horisontal movement is only allowed in manual mode! [WASD] for moving in corresponding directions and even strafe with ALT + A and ALT + D by default Also you can double tap [W] if you want to hold your forward acceleration **ECU ECU allows you to release remote control while keep flight. Remember that you can easilly release ECU control or any control you want by pressing [ctrl + backspace]. **Elevator mode In this mode you can see a keyboard and the whole interface are pretty easy to understand. Keep in mind that DHP won't let you crash it with landing. Artemis Explorer S Core Multi-Role Hybrid Have a few mining outposts on distant planets/moons that you need to get to and from quickly? Want to hop between the Arkship and Market 12 in a few minutes? Maybe you have a small batch of elements to bring somewhere to be sold. Possibly, you're a hardened explorer on the rim of the solar system scanning tiles for that precious ore, or on a search and rescue mission to recover a damaged ship. Whatever it is you choose to do (except hauling 12 special mission with your alts to Jago), the Artemis Explorer will do it efficiently and with great performance. Personally used for delivery missions, collecting ore from mining outposts and delivering goods to market, the ship was designed to be used for many different roles. Originally fitted with a DSAT, the current layout favors fuel capacity. My first ship build of release. Wanted to get something started and finished quickly and it kind of turned into a longer than expected project. Wanted to share it with the community at a reasonable price considering the time invested. Ship can be seen and BPs purchased at my base on Haven near Market 07 ::pos{0,27,51.6526,22.6413,-0.0001} ----A few notes to keep in mind: -All indicated performance stats are with 48t of fuel (about a 50% load) and 11.4t of cargo (extra fuel and scrap I always carry) onboard. -Tier 3+ Handling Skills currently applied to BP (All Tier 3 plus Tier 4 Atmospheric Element Handling & Tier 4 Container Proficiency) -The main cargo hold is currently configured with 8 S and 2 XS containers totaling 92kl. The secondary cargo hold is 10 XS containers totaling 14kl. There is also one unlinked XS container in the cockpit for whatever. Currently Tier 4 Container Handling skills applied. -Ship is designed for high endurance operations. For normal daily operations run the atmo and space fuel tanks at roughly 50% of their max cap to increase efficiency. -Minimizing frontal cross-section to maximize efficiency was kept in mind from the earliest design stages. -The center "box" can be reconfigured in many different ways to accommodate different mission requirements. Currently, this BP is configured with 4 M space tanks and 2 S containers in the "box." These can be replaced with a DSAT, Territory Scanner, an M container, or anything you'd like, there is a lot of space to use. -The multi-directional space engines are most effective when used with any of the various player made HUDs and autopilots. They make operations in zero-g and on moons a breeze. Also, low and fast orbits around planets are achieved quite comfortably. -Testing of the max cargo lift capacity has yet to be completed. As of now, 520t of cargo with a relatively high level pilot has been taken to orbit around Haven and landed safely. I suspect a low level pilot can take 350t to orbit and land safely, and a high level pilot will be able to lift 450t regularly without pushing the limits of the ship. -Pad on top for docked XS cores -The down facing M space engines help keep a more shallow trajectory upon entering an atmosphere. This helps to prevent stalling at high altitude and allows the ship to glide into atmo quite nicely. -Low sustentation speeds make glide-in landings easy, have yet to test the limits of a vertical brake landing. -Supersonic reentries are possible but not recommended. -Such lights, much switches!
