The Dragonfly is the result of my first 3 days into Dual Universe. She was designed to lift me off of Haven and to Alioth. Boy, had I known there was rent to be paid, I might have stayed a bit longer. Anyways, the Dragonfly is a reliable and practical ship, biggest I could make her with XS size. She is a hybrid, easily gets you to space and does the Haven-Alioth back and forth trip multiple times before running out of juice. The Dragonfly also comes with a small interior and can be Upped with additional cargo whenever necessary. She is built smart, with maximum maneuverability and ideal weight distribution in mind. And on top of all that, she is pretty. You should be able to build her without the need to purchase anything with an assembly line M and by disassembling the pilot outpost starter base. Pocketship version of the good old WW2 german fighterplane BF 109. top speed is about 900kph, not the fastest but its very maneuverable and the small tank holds for hours at above 3k alt. Time to head to the market, and pick up some stuff? What will you need for that? A container! I've built a market runner/small hauler, that looks like a container. :P It's 150% the size of an Expanded Basic Container XXL, so it's nearly as long as a full S core. It will take 1.5 kT without problems, and if you have decent piloting talents, its should also handle 2 kT. I've personally taken 2.25 kT of cargo into space without difficulty, with level 5 buffs and level 4 piloting talents. See stats on the last picture. Equipped with Eight Large Atmospheric Engines and a single Extra-Large Space Engine for forward thrust, the Herkimer also has Six Large Atmospheric Engines Downward Facing along with Four Large Space Engines Facing Downward! You can literally hold the space bar on your keyboard and go straight up if you choose to! VERY convenient for leaving market-places!
