At the bottom of the space station you find 4 small landing pads to accommodate a drop off point for your small planet surface haulers. This mining factory is suitable for 8 Mining Units and 2 M Size Container or 1 L Container for Ore Storage. Build on cheap rescources it can be almost hand-crafted in your Nanocrafter. This mining platform was designed to mine up to 4 ore types using L mining units. While the mining platform will default to one mining unit per T1 ore, this can easily be changed to mine different ore with upgraded mining units. To expand the number of mining units, just link to the additional units to the mining PB and to one of the containers. To modify the ore type, rename the container element and replace the ore with the new ores full name. Adding/modifying the mining units or containers will require the programing boards to be restarted. This is an early release version of the platform, so some of the items have been reduced or removed due to availability or cost. To further save on deployment cost, you can change the honeycomb type to fit your available ore type.

Hadron Mining Platform 4 Designed around our signature Hadron theme, the Mining Platform 4 delivers style and function to any outpost or mining operation. Comes equipped with 1x M Basic Containers and each mining unit housing includes markers for quick and easy placement. The centralized VR station provides instant access to all mining units on the platform without the need to move from the spot. When deploying the platform, make sure the stairs and the voxel square at the bottom of the platform are above the surface of the terrain. This will ensure you have access to the container if you choose to swap it out. The raised platform and circular arrangement of the mining units allow the bonus ore to spawn in a ring around the construct allowing for ease of access when collecting.

The plan was to test out how to make a space station about 65KM from the planet. Assuming I'd succeed the idea behind the station was to use it for making fuel and basic scrap without having to land on the planet. So I obviously succeeded at making the space station however, the location was completely wrong for the job. It turns out you need to make the space stations away from where your bases are and stock them with resources you need at those locations. That said it was fun doing it for the first time and the views are super.
