This is my entry for the 'Build Your Legacy' competition and while I think it fits the requirements I do not like it as much as the speeder I submitted. I think it is mainly due to the colours as I have not built with Tier 1 ore (Except concrete) for a long time so I only really had the colours provided to work with. It does feature a pad for parking your speeder underneath the structure. My favourite aspect of this design was the stands I setup for the mining units.

putting big L core stations together is fine but when you want to break up the monotony, give this connector module a whirl. Still an L core but a little smaller to add some depth to your modular stations. Features a nice throughfare windowed walkway to transit between cores and also look out over the 10 XS sized landing pads. Looking voor Flexibel Space Storage? You've found it! A space station to place nearby the planet(s) where you collect the Ore from your Mining Units. You can adjust the number of containers you need by yourself. Just add or remove some. A complete fuel industry 'in-house' is present in the station. All containers and fuel are accessible through a Container Hub in the operating room downstairs. Don't worry, you don't have to walk. Elevators bring you up and down. At the bottom of the space station you find 4 small landing pads to accommodate a drop off point for your small planet surface haulers. Your 'L-core-slow-boot-Freighter' can land on top of the station to pick-up the ore. Wanna have a look at the station? The plan was to test out how to make a space station about 65KM from the planet. Assuming I'd succeed the idea behind the station was to use it for making fuel and basic scrap without having to land on the planet. So I obviously succeeded at making the space station however, the location was completely wrong for the job. It turns out you need to make the space stations away from where your bases are and stock them with resources you need at those locations. That said it was fun doing it for the first time and the views are super.

McBain Rocket Shop Showroom Floor with Attached Factory Version 1.0 This is a multi-large core build, in total there are 4 large cores, one for each pedestal, one for the factory and one for the hangar. I wanted a hangar attached to my factory, some place I can work and build XS and S ships with good lighting and manufacture tokens all in the same structure. Near future I will have attached landing pads and voxel library storage area. The showroom area is just about the length and width of a large core large enough to showcase or store several small and extra small ships. The factory is five open floors of space with a floating control center. Currently have installed enough machines to make all parts basic thru advanced and have only used a quarter of available space. There are 2 landing pads and an observation deck with elevators to move about quickly. Pedestals available if needed. As the Rock Raiders continued their expanse they started finding, stealing, and then revamping UEF designs. One of their hauls was a sub orbital platform. Given their ingenuity they were able to drop off a haul of T1 ore and have it automatically processed into Nitron and Kergon X5 at the same time. The only maintenance to this system is the occasional purge of oxygen and hydrogen once in a while while there to fuel up Rock Raider ships. So, no more calibration tiles means time to own some proper mining rigs. This should make it easier... Easy install, low cost honeycomb with a custom lua script displaying all the information you could need or want. The LUA script is also available standalone!
