So ever wanted a super balanced nice on fuel and good looking hauler! Here is my answer for the medium class of hauler the Alterran by ADMI! clocking in at 1.7ktons with fuel full and lvl 5 talents for flight (working on Hp) she can pickup in the area of 2.8ktons no flight talents and basic setup to 7ktons with better engines and good talents for flight! (unless nq fixes the gravity-inverted containers lol then more). A new feature is on this ship from ADMI and that is balanced load blocks. There are 3 containers you can find them in the front that are 1 small basic and 2 xs basic containers. Fill these with iron and you should never need to move anything but these containers to balance the Alterran. I used pure iron and put 12kl in the small and 1500L in front xs and 750 in back xs to give myself different weights to balance with. if you should ever overload her and need a balancing hand so your not waisting the ships power instead of moving engines or warp or messing up a build just move a container! 1-4 clicks usually balances any load. (note if you stay in the 3kton range and load the balance containers then youll never need to move anything the ship is balnced for loaded and empty! The XXXL Container is basically a supersized M-Container stretched almost 8x in all directions, filling a whole Dynamic Core S. The Container can be used as Mission Package Storage, Storage extension of your Hauler, Miningsite and many more. The Hemera is an all in one home cruiser, with all the luxury and living space you need for long deep space missions and 14 Large cargo containers for hauling large loads. Some small extra crew containers are positioned in crew quarters and can be configured individually. Various picture screens and boards are located around the ship for you to add LUA,scripts and displays as you like, giving a custom feel to the ship. I revised the original Hemera from 2 XL engines to 4. This increases cross section slightly which means you'll need to push through atmo a little harder, but when the XL's take over the transition into space is much easier which compensates for the slight atmo speed loss. It also makes space hauling easier, I found that the 2 XL's were stressed when carrying heavy loads. The focus on this ship was utility. There is room in the forward deck for either a large shield or DSAT and room in the cockpit to add 2 crew seats for either DSAT management (the DSAT is accessible from one of the optional crew seats in the ceiling just outside the bridge) or to add 2 gunner chairs. Space for ammo containers is available in the cockpit. The ship can also be flown from one of the crew seats for solo piloting and DSAT management. Hauling from atmo is good, up to around 5-6kt (I would stay around 4-5kt since they nerfed adjustors) depending on engines and talents and 4 XL engines make space trucking a breeze. A captains quarters and 2 crew quarters are located near the bridge. On the top deck there is a landing pad for a speeder or warp shuttle. UPDATE: I have just upgraded the ship to latest specs compatible with the released game. Also upgraded most rooms, like the lounge and crew cabins etc. There is now even a Space Café on the ship :) ILLYRIA is my Flagship - The ship weighs several thousand ton, is ca. 128m long and has a cargo capacity of over 1 million liters. It also has 2 XL Space Engines + 2 Medium Space Engines for a total thrust of over 50 Million Newtons. Further, it has 14 Large Atmospheric Engines with 70+ Million N thrust. There is an Emergency Control Unit on the ship and in case you get killed, a resurrection pod is there as well. All critical elements are shielded by several layers of hardened steel. High End Elements include a large Warp Drive and the Anti-Gravity Generator. Illyria is primarily a Capital Cargo Ship - but I could not leave her completely defenseless, therefore I also put 2 Large Railguns on it. Space Radar is also included. Creature Comfort comes in the form of 10 Crew Cabins, with all furniture, Captain's Quarters, and 2 Forward - the R&R area - the largest interior area on the ship. There is also a Hydroponics Bay - for those long travels when you need to be able to grow your own vegetables :) The hull is made of polished stainless steel, glossy iron, glossy copper, and more metals with double and triple layers. For the most part, Episodes 7-9 were terrible, BUT the places where some us could still find refuge was in the ships, sets, sounds, and heck even I found a FEW moments outside the plot were enjoyable. One in particular was in the beginning of episode 7 where we see this shuttle arrive and Kylo descends the ramp in classic SW badass fashion. Like that ramp everything pretty much went downhill from there.... But despite that I found great potential in this chassis and here it is for your enjoyment - My own take on the Upsilon Shuttle with a fully-flushed interior. This configuration makes a great planet courier: balance between offense/defense, agility, speed, and hauling capacity. Using a source image found online, I carefully created the Hyperion in stunning detail. The key was to remain faithful to the concept art and achieve a performance that would rival any ship in its size class. The appearance of this full size S core might deceive you, but rest assured, the handling and capability of the ship will not disappoint. Utilizing 5x Basic Container L the Hyperion can comfortably handle 1KT worth of cargo to and from a 1G planet. This is not the hard limit as with good flight talents and a seasoned pilot, the ship is capable of more than double the recommended weight. The Hyperion PRO comes equipped with 8 Advanced Military Atmospheric Engines and 6 Advanced Safe Space Engines instead of Basics. This is the only difference between the versions. The Hyperion is intended as a warp capable hauler for moving large amounts of cargo efficiently. A shield is included in the blueprint, however, it is not recommended for use in the PVP zone as it has no weapons by default. All engines can be swapped out to increase performance but you can find the recommended engine loadout on the Hyperion PRO (rated for 2KT). Please note that exceeding the recommended weight of the ship may cause brakes and wings to underperform. The inertia matrix has been fine tuned to negate as many unwanted rotational forces as possible, even under extreme load. Once again, I have installed the open source LUA for container content information and element status (coded by Krengus of ASTCo). For the flight script, I opted to use Arch HUD by default (made by Archaegeo). as it provides a clean, customizable interface that is effective at displaying all the information you need as you focus on flying and it has everything you need.
