The DBI LASH-1 (Light Atmospheric Scanning Hauler) is an efficient scanning vessel for those players looking to get in to scanning. This Small Core ship comes equipped with a single Basic Container Large and enough power to move it when fully loaded. As an atmospheric ship, the LASH utilizes a very open and minimalistic design aesthetic, reminiscent of construction vehicles once used on Earth. Scan tiles, harvest surface ore to pass the time, and move along to the next scan site. Even if you don't find that T3 ore site, you won't be coming back empty handed! Even if you're not scanning, the single large container allows you to utilize the ship as a handy market runner or flower harvester! Modifying this ship to be space-friendly would be a piece of cake, given the extra room and open design. A few space engines, a few retro-rocket brakes, and you'll be scanning all around Helios in no time. The main feature of this ship is its stability. It does not lose wing lift with side slip up to 45 degrees. A cross-section of 150 m2 allows for high speeds in the atmosphere. The security system allows you to lock the doors or keep them open at all times, ignoring the sensors. All parameters are given with 0 piloting skills. Handling skills are mainly 4. For the most part, Episodes 7-9 were terrible, BUT the places where some us could still find refuge was in the ships, sets, sounds, and heck even I found a FEW moments outside the plot were enjoyable. One in particular was in the beginning of episode 7 where we see this shuttle arrive and Kylo descends the ramp in classic SW badass fashion. Like that ramp everything pretty much went downhill from there.... But despite that I found great potential in this chassis and here it is for your enjoyment - My own take on the Upsilon Shuttle with a fully-flushed interior. This configuration makes a great planet courier: balance between offense/defense, agility, speed, and hauling capacity. Behold the "Cyclops" SPPA Industries is proud to present this mythical creature. An XS-core warp hauler filled to the brim with features while still maintaining a pleasant appearance. This little monster can carry more than 576kL of cargo in the smallest core possible! Plenty of wings let an unskilled pilot lift more than 1000t of cargo from the surface of Alioth to space and superior braking power allows for much more cargo to be safely brought down to it. The same pilot can lift the full volume filled with hematite (more than 2000t) from any low G planet like Madis for example.
