FiRun has been my daily driver after 1.1 update and bots removal. It is almost non profitable to haul huge amounts of ore from fields to markets. Therefore demand of these lightweigth "small/medium" haulers has increased. FiRun idea is to haul max 42kl ores from nearby (less that 100km) fields to your base when needed with lowest possible fuel usage (freigh engines, no vtol, no heavy space equipment). If your fields are further, maybe space capable ship is your choise then (faster). Naturally you can use FiRun for all things you do in atmo planets, personal carrier, market runner etc. Ship carries easily/safely full load of baux/coal/quartz or 10-20kl hematite depending your skills. Ship flies well also with lvl0 skills. Numbers here given by skill lvl 3-4 pilot. Ship includes preinstalled scripts ArchHUD and DU-Locura-Storage-Info (modded by me to include weight warning system including lights in cockpit and top of the vessel). Weight warning limits can be adjusted, I like flying my ships without thinking is it safe with any load I might currently carry. As he clawed his way into the launch of Dual Universe, Resource was heard screaming, "NO SHOEBOXES". Surely a ship could be built that could satisfy the detailed mind of a this ship builder with performance we all want, NO EXPECT without looking like a shoebox. And so as he toiled away in the darkness of Thades shadow at the Crash Industries skunkworks, the Cambria took shape. A T shape to be exact. But how would Resource achieve the high altitude lift he wanted, no required AND avoid a wall of engines? These are the challenges that drive some mad as they rebreathe the same stale air inside their helmets. The space anguish spiraled out of control as the ship went from 2, no 4, no 4.5 containers! Just when some would break down in a pile of mangled voxels, Resource looked up and saw his masterpiece. His first thought? I wonder if I can cram a medium shield in there? ... the answer was yes. The Cambria by WarpForged is a small core (small footprint) hauler that safely lifts two XL mission packages (2.8+ kt in 4L & 1M containers) from Alioth's surface with level 4 pilot talents. This hauler is made for everyone who needs to get stuff done. It's a good looking ship without a bunch of extra elements you're going to have to repair if the inevitable happens. Unburdened by the useless mass of atmo elements, it has a solid ~7g of space thrust and a max speed of about 39,000kmh, which lets it race to asteroids quickly to beat the competition. It comes with only two M containers inside, but there are eight racks on the exterior to attach extra containers - giving it a storage volume of up to 1.7ML. These racks are also a good place to attach other elements, such as a shield. The DSAT is built into the BP, but it's easy to remove and reinsert at will with an indicator for precise placement. There's also a slot for a warp drive at the tail of the ship, but it's optional. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES: • The Beltalowda comes with a DRM-free BP of a XS space station so that you can have a place to park the ship when not in use. You'll need another atmo-capable ship to haul the ore down to dirt. • For obvious reasons, don't spawn the Beltalowda in atmosphere. First place a XS space platform or two, then spawn the ship. The platform is DRM free, so you can make a core BP of it after spawning to make more of them. • If you want to convert the Beltalowda into a regular hauler, just remove the DSAT and replace it with 6 L containers, for a total of up to 14 L containers(2.7ML). Recommended max cargo mass is 2000t to keep the thrust above 1g. Listed stats are with level 4 technician/piloting talents and basic elements.
