Getting my first creation out there. Tried to get close to the design from Serenity's Mule. Still trying to figure the nuances to ship building. Any and all pointers are most welcomed.

Mule: Is the first (xs) ship I built myself, which was basically an oblong box with engines and wings. I kept adding items to the structure until I could fit no more on due to space constraints. The ship does fly mostly like I intended it to but it can be easy to overloaded with cargo even when moving ore. This ship was essentially my test ship and allowed me to roughly gauge how many engines etc. you need to atmosphere and space flight for a particular weight of craft and cargo. I have not flown it other than to take the screen shots and I can confirm it is fast ship in atmosphere but other than that I am sure it would need some tweaks and a real stress test to add more stats than I have provided already, given some of the game changes that have happened in the months since I stopped using this ship. Needless to say this ship was used my myself for quite some time until I managed to acquire the parts to start a first version of my ship Elemental.

The Hemera is an all in one home cruiser, with all the luxury and living space you need for long deep space missions and 14 Large cargo containers for hauling large loads. Some small extra crew containers are positioned in crew quarters and can be configured individually. Various picture screens and boards are located around the ship for you to add LUA,scripts and displays as you like, giving a custom feel to the ship. I revised the original Hemera from 2 XL engines to 4. This increases cross section slightly which means you'll need to push through atmo a little harder, but when the XL's take over the transition into space is much easier which compensates for the slight atmo speed loss. It also makes space hauling easier, I found that the 2 XL's were stressed when carrying heavy loads. The focus on this ship was utility. There is room in the forward deck for either a large shield or DSAT and room in the cockpit to add 2 crew seats for either DSAT management (the DSAT is accessible from one of the optional crew seats in the ceiling just outside the bridge) or to add 2 gunner chairs. Space for ammo containers is available in the cockpit. The ship can also be flown from one of the crew seats for solo piloting and DSAT management. Hauling from atmo is good, up to around 5-6kt (I would stay around 4-5kt since they nerfed adjustors) depending on engines and talents and 4 XL engines make space trucking a breeze. A captains quarters and 2 crew quarters are located near the bridge. On the top deck there is a landing pad for a speeder or warp shuttle. Fully Loaded Alioth - Jago: 10 WCs only! - - - WARP TUBE A stylish, well-designed warp shuttle that holds two XS containers. Everything has been optimized and reduced to minimum to save on weight and thus on warp cell consumption. The hovers function also as low-consumption propulsion that can be used for low distances, and provide above 160 km/h without usage of any regular engine. The Warp Tube also features two diagonal rocket engines (800 L) that help to avert any crashes due to inexperience by giving lift and forward speed at the sme time, and also help lifting off from space platforms. Strong lights illuminate dark areas where you try to land. Last but surely not least, the boat is packed with brakes to such extend, that - to give an example - landing from orbit on Jago's surface does not require any engine thrust! With other words, as part of the weight reduction the fuel consumption has been minimized, too. That leaves more space for cargo.
