It takes off quickly and accelerates to max speed in seconds. The sleek, low-cross-section profile allows re-entry or cruising in high atmosphere at up to 2000 km/h without damage. Albatross HUD makes piloting a snap. Because it weighs less than 10 tons, it can accelerate to 50,000 kph max speed. On a round trip it will use about half of the XS fuel tank with no talents. Plenty of reserve for emergency turn-and-burn braking if necessary! This little ship is a lot of fun to fly and can get you to any place in the solar system quickly and cheaply. The Standard Edition has Uncommon Maneuver Engines for space and atmosphere, giving it extended range by economizing fuel. Space thrust is augmented by two Advanced Military Space Engine XS. The blueprint has level 5 placement for space, atmo, tanks.

The Volt is a compactable ship that is really fun to fly. It comes with 2 basic medium atmo engines that are upgradable and 1 medium fuel tank. No space elements nor container. With the basic engines it can get you around 1000 km/h (Higher with better engines and talents). You can change the colors as you please when you deploy it, though I recommend staying with plastic or lighter. Very potent propulsion, lifts off almost right away and speeds up very fast (reaching "burn speed) after a few seconds of diagonal climbing. Good wing lift, can glide well, too. If you need a small, cheap, easy to fly space hauler for runs outside of the safe zone that won't cause you major loss if you get shot down... this is it. The Ugly Armadillo was my own solution to this problem, and now I'm sharing it with you. Lightweight, well balanced, and very easy to fly.
