The Anisoptera v3 X1 (internal code name: "Fast and Furious") is the latest version of this famous dragonfly-alike designer speedboat. The original designs called for a fast boat that could fit many different types of ship hangars, thus the resulting concept was that of a very slender ship hull. That in return resulted in a low drag amount and therefore high possible speeds if powered adequatly. Overheating starts at 1,800 km/h, first damage at around 2,300 km/h. At the edge of the atmosphere, in suborbit, no damage and overheating, and speeds in excess of 5,000 km/h. The version 3 has the following improvements over V2: - even higher speed (same atmospheric 2,300 km/h as before but now beyond 5,000 km/h suborbit) - slightly increased wing lift capacity - more brake power And the best is: from the outside there is almost no difference! A head-turner at markets, a powerful and elegant design, a sleek and sporty aesthetic: that is the Harpy Type C! The Harpy is a S-core shuttle and small-scale hauler for up to 400 tons safely off Alioth. But its main selling point is her sleek, aerodynamic design, which allows her to fly at comfortably fast speeds without the fear of burning up in atmosphere. 1200km/h travel at 2600m altitude on Alioth is a comfortable cruise speed for this little beast, while achieving an overall top-speed of 1412km/h. The Harpy's frame is mainly built out of aluminium, making this sporty work horse light as a feather at 168tons dry weight, so that all her power can go towards lifting the real weight in her 1x L-sized cargo container, which may transport 166kL or 400 tons of cargo. The ship is accelerated by 2x rear-mounted Large Military Atmospheric Engine, 2x diagonally-mounted Medium Basic Atmospheric Engine, aswell as 4x Medium Military Space Engine and 2x Medium Basic Space Engine. Her warp drive consumes about 23 (+ additional from cargo) warp cells per jump from Alioth to Lacobus (or about 500 su), thus making it an efficient small and fast grocery hauler with interplanetary capabilities. If you want to be somewhere fast and maybe have a few things to transport there aswell and show off with an impressive and sporty ship, you might aswell beg for a flight with the Harpy Type C!
