As he clawed his way into the launch of Dual Universe, Resource was heard screaming, "NO SHOEBOXES". Surely a ship could be built that could satisfy the detailed mind of a this ship builder with performance we all want, NO EXPECT without looking like a shoebox. And so as he toiled away in the darkness of Thades shadow at the Crash Industries skunkworks, the Cambria took shape. A T shape to be exact. But how would Resource achieve the high altitude lift he wanted, no required AND avoid a wall of engines? These are the challenges that drive some mad as they rebreathe the same stale air inside their helmets. The space anguish spiraled out of control as the ship went from 2, no 4, no 4.5 containers! Just when some would break down in a pile of mangled voxels, Resource looked up and saw his masterpiece. His first thought? I wonder if I can cram a medium shield in there? ... the answer was yes. The Cambria by WarpForged is a small core (small footprint) hauler that safely lifts two XL mission packages (2.8+ kt in 4L & 1M containers) from Alioth's surface with level 4 pilot talents. This hauler is made for everyone who needs to get stuff done. It's a good looking ship without a bunch of extra elements you're going to have to repair if the inevitable happens. All purpose Cruiser that is capable of atmospheric and space travel, with plenty of power for both. It's especially suitable as a hauling vessel, as it carries 20 L containers, can come with an AGG and can lift 4.5T of from Alioth without needing the AGG. She has a length of 1 medium core+1 small core thanks to placement strategy. She is thus longer than normal medium core ships which gives her a sleeker look. With her large deck size, she can easily carry multiple XS core vessels, or 2 S core vessels. Comes with a cosy and spacious interior, with plenty options to allow for a personal touch. UPDATE: I have just upgraded the ship to latest specs compatible with the released game. Also upgraded most rooms, like the lounge and crew cabins etc. There is now even a Space Café on the ship :) ILLYRIA is my Flagship - The ship weighs several thousand ton, is ca. 128m long and has a cargo capacity of over 1 million liters. It also has 2 XL Space Engines + 2 Medium Space Engines for a total thrust of over 50 Million Newtons. Further, it has 14 Large Atmospheric Engines with 70+ Million N thrust. There is an Emergency Control Unit on the ship and in case you get killed, a resurrection pod is there as well. All critical elements are shielded by several layers of hardened steel. High End Elements include a large Warp Drive and the Anti-Gravity Generator. Illyria is primarily a Capital Cargo Ship - but I could not leave her completely defenseless, therefore I also put 2 Large Railguns on it. Space Radar is also included. Creature Comfort comes in the form of 10 Crew Cabins, with all furniture, Captain's Quarters, and 2 Forward - the R&R area - the largest interior area on the ship. There is also a Hydroponics Bay - for those long travels when you need to be able to grow your own vegetables :) The hull is made of polished stainless steel, glossy iron, glossy copper, and more metals with double and triple layers. "USS Langley, (CV-1/AV-3)" - The first US Navy Aircraft Carrier 1920-1942 While this is not a replica of that famous ship, it carries that famous name. The ship has been created as a no-nonsense purpose-built work ship. There are no Deco elements (there is room to add them if you desire), there are no fancy board rooms or lighting elements and plants and frilly things. The total element count is 633. The Langley has a large flat carrier deck that is greater than the size of an M core ship, as such it can accommodate the largest M core ships in the game while they have a full load, and that is what it was built for. While this is not a "Hauler" there are 34 Advanced Optimised L Containers below deck, 4 of them for Warp Cell and miscellaneous storage. There is a massive area "On Deck" to place cargo packs or containers and your favorite ships up to a fully loaded M core. The ship has been tested with 16kt of cargo off and on to a 1G planet it is being rated at 16kt, more than that is the Pilots responsibility. There are 30x Advanced Military atmospheric engines to push this to space, and 4x Advanced Military space engines to get it to max space speed. Space Thrusters are included to make navigation at a space station easy. There is space to add 8 more ATMO Engines if you do not use an AGG. Please take some time to compare the STATS to other ships. Zero Cool is unique experimental sci-fi style supersonic heat-resistant ship. @youtube = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bs4aii8Hk6c It's very easy to control and can lift about 2000t of cargo (give or take based on talents). It will very easily go over 1500km/h in lower atmo with only 30% throttle. It's powered by 6x uncommon maneuver atmospheric L engines, but stock engines will work fine too, they'll just eat bit more fuel and warm-up time is longer. It has about 17g lift from wings, which should be able to get 2000t of cargo into space from any planet's surface. most important part about this ship, is that it's equipped with heat shield, which prevents you from taking damage when going supersonic speeds in atmosphere. you can easily fly 2000km/h in lower atmo and 5000km/h in upper atmo. it's not 100% as it depends how good you are at flying, for example if you start turning at high speeds, there's a risk that some elements may take heat damage or break completely, but if you know how to fly and don't make any sudden turns, then no problem! I have gone around alioth twice at about 5000km/h and haven't had any issues. This ship is designed for effeciency and ease of use, it will get you from A to B faster than normal ships. It only has 2xM containers + 4x S containers, but you can easily squeeze 4 more S containers on it. This ship is almost as small as S core, but reasons why it uses M core, is because smaller size M core ships are more heat resistant and also so that you can tow S core ships with it.
