I don't like the huge factory blocks at all, so I took an L Core and gave myself free rein in the dimensions and design of the building. From my point of view, the entire core does not always have to be used. It is important to me that buildings fit in well with their surroundings, be it in the city or in the country. The building is an empty shell! Setting up the factory or your office in the building is entirely up to you. Here it is! The Kombat Extendable Mining Rig, Landing and Launch Pad system. Build with the custom, patented landing deck. This one does not use fussy zero-G technology but relies instead on trusty steel and concrete to keep everything upright. On deployment you can chose your own building material honeycombs (Primary, Contrast, Metal and Lumi). Comes in four flavours with each it's own distinct role: Barrier - (Bp: 0.9M Token: 2.7M) The basic variant is used as a simple but elegant landing platform that allows any M-core or smaller ship to land safely on it. Guided by landing lights and having a nice elevator down to the ground. Corsar* - (Bp: 1.8M Token: 3.6M) This one comes with a hole in the top! But in that hole fits a Medusa Y-Lift capable of lifting around 600tons on Alioth and up to 2Kt on places like Madis without talents. It comes with a nice ramp that allows you to walk up right to the Elevator seat. Kombat - (Bp: 1.8M Token: 3.9M) Ah, the trusty workhorse of the lot. Why not have you landing pad AND do three tile mining all from the same spot? Comes with 3x basic and 1x uncommon mining units but can be extended or swapped out to any configuration. Comes with all the luxuries of both the Barrier and the Corsar but also spots an Large Container to hold all your ore. Can be deployed to service 1, 2 or 3 adjacent tiles from one location. putting big L core stations together is fine but when you want to break up the monotony, give this connector module a whirl. Still an L core but a little smaller to add some depth to your modular stations. Features a nice throughfare windowed walkway to transit between cores and also look out over the 10 XS sized landing pads. At daytime a fairly normal looking tower, but at night it seems to be burning. 5,000,000 quanta for a batch of 8 blueprint copies. Dispenser is in the penthouse underneath the landing pad in the top of the tower. Deploying strategy: 1. deploy the base core 2. deploy the North core, then the East, then the South and then the West core 3. deploy the first floor on the base core 4. deploy the second floor on the first floor 5. the second floor bp copy is DRM free so you can mulitply it to make your Lotus tower higher 6. deploy the top floor on the final second floor core NOTE! Possible problems: while connecting the North, East, South and West cores to the base core you may have to remove glass panels from the base (4 in the center) and then place them back when the core is placed.
