So, no more calibration tiles means time to own some proper mining rigs. This should make it easier... Easy install, low cost honeycomb with a custom lua script displaying all the information you could need or want. The LUA script is also available standalone! Construct: As most mining rigs only require four units, the blueprint contains four Large and two Small allowing you to disable the Small units if required. You can also choose to replace these with large units if so required. Please note, if you do use four and remove the two S cores, edit lua parameters and enter in "25" (without quotes) to the "Gaps" field. Landing pad on top, nice spacious hangar, plenty of room for industry and storage all in a colorful package. Easy to expand with access doors on 3 sides to add more landing space. Industry area has a couple of different expandable set up options for your convenience. Plenty of space for parts storage as well. putting big L core stations together is fine but when you want to break up the monotony, give this connector module a whirl. Still an L core but a little smaller to add some depth to your modular stations. The plan was to test out how to make a space station about 65KM from the planet. Assuming I'd succeed the idea behind the station was to use it for making fuel and basic scrap without having to land on the planet. So I obviously succeeded at making the space station however, the location was completely wrong for the job. It turns out you need to make the space stations away from where your bases are and stock them with resources you need at those locations. That said it was fun doing it for the first time and the views are super.
