My idea of an all or nothing, I've dubbed it the flying VCR. As tested it can handle twice it's empty weight with ease and can even perform acrobatic stunts. It is capable of so much more plus it has room for everyone in the game to travel along in nicely coordinated interior spaces.

With its small size it can park on top of almost any ship, or finds a small niche inside a ship's hangar bay. Just fly maybe 1,000m or more above the target ship, and then slowly sink down while you position. It can manage Alioth with its 1G of gravity.
