The Turtle is an S core Hauler designed for solo or duo mining expeditions on other planets and bringing your ore back to alioth. Since we never bring heavy loads out of alioth it is a bit low on space thrust , but fine on all sub1G planets. Exelent weight distribution and nice handling. This baby turns heads wherever you go. This is my personal daily driver. If you are looking for a ship that can haul multi kilotons of cargo then this is NOT the ship for you. This is not a workhorse. This is a piece of art. This ship was based on a 3D model which can be seen in the pics. This ship was built to scale as the model had human models built in. I had to highly modify the back end and add nacels in order to facilitate as much thrust as I could due to the unfortunate size of DU's engine models. I have tested this with 1KT of cargo leaving both entering and leaving Alioth with Level 4 talents. It is doable but it is not fun. I would say that this ship's happy place is around 800 tons. The top "hood" took many hours to nail down moving point by point to get the slope and lines just right. I would have loved to add more detail however I was limited by chunk complexity in most areas. The Dragonfly is the result of my first 3 days into Dual Universe. She was designed to lift me off of Haven and to Alioth. Boy, had I known there was rent to be paid, I might have stayed a bit longer. Anyways, the Dragonfly is a reliable and practical ship, biggest I could make her with XS size. She is a hybrid, easily gets you to space and does the Haven-Alioth back and forth trip multiple times before running out of juice. The Dragonfly also comes with a small interior and can be Upped with additional cargo whenever necessary. She is built smart, with maximum maneuverability and ideal weight distribution in mind. And on top of all that, she is pretty. You should be able to build her without the need to purchase anything with an assembly line M and by disassembling the pilot outpost starter base.
