The Levante by Hagbard "A person without dreams is like a boat without sails..." The Levante is a sailboat that allows you to experience the wind, the waves, the ride and heeling of a sailboat in DU. Features: - accurate simulation of wind, waves and the sea - sails settable by "G" key in 4 levels Shift+G reduces Sail surface by 1/4 - 2 steering options either you can steer with a non centering rudder or with A/D controls similar to how other constructs are being steered. Switch during operation by pressing "Alt+1" - engine limited to marina use (when sails are down). thrust Limit applies(max 10%) - extensively tested on the seas of Alioth (other planets might require adjustments, contact me for assistance) - Wind (&Rudder) Indicator (visible for the helmsman) - configurable sail texts & colors (see LUA parameters) - HoverEngine Technology allows almost infinite fuel autonomy - the Levante is compactable, so take it on your next vacation by the sea ;-) Blueprint Instructions: - there is one manual step required after setting the BP. go to build mode and right click the backward facing hover engine. under Advanced=>"disable thrust along gravity" has to be selected for the backward facing hover engine - if you want to have the original light colors, set back left to "255,0,0" and back right to "0,255,0" front light: enable blinking and set on duration to 0.1 This could be used for Regattas as well, as the speed is defined by the skills of the skipper and his/her ability to find the best course for maximum performance Some "sailing tips": - the speed you can reach depends on your angle towards the wind. the faster you go the more "heel" you will get and the more active correction of your course will be required to stay on a straight line. - It is not possible to sail directly into the wind. To sail against the wind direction you have to "cross". - to moor at your pier the auxiliary engine can be used, but only when the sail is down. It is limited to 10% of max thrust. - if you do not have a proper pier yet, you can hover up a bit using the space bar to get the boat on your plattform... (better build yourself a small marina & pier) - the ECU should always be activated/armed. when you leave the helm, this will keep the boat from sinking to the ground. After jumping on your pier, quickly touch the boat to moore it to the pier. - if you find that the boat is unable to stay on the water surface, this is usually some physic bug in the client. just get out of the seat and try again (maybe after maneuvering the boat a bit) BP's will be made available again soon(TM)

UPDATE: I have just upgraded the ship to latest specs compatible with the released game. Also upgraded most rooms, like the lounge and crew cabins etc. There is now even a Space Café on the ship :) ILLYRIA is my Flagship - The ship weighs several thousand ton, is ca. 128m long and has a cargo capacity of over 1 million liters. It also has 2 XL Space Engines + 2 Medium Space Engines for a total thrust of over 50 Million Newtons. Further, it has 14 Large Atmospheric Engines with 70+ Million N thrust. There is an Emergency Control Unit on the ship and in case you get killed, a resurrection pod is there as well. All critical elements are shielded by several layers of hardened steel. High End Elements include a large Warp Drive and the Anti-Gravity Generator. Illyria is primarily a Capital Cargo Ship - but I could not leave her completely defenseless, therefore I also put 2 Large Railguns on it. Space Radar is also included. Creature Comfort comes in the form of 10 Crew Cabins, with all furniture, Captain's Quarters, and 2 Forward - the R&R area - the largest interior area on the ship. There is also a Hydroponics Bay - for those long travels when you need to be able to grow your own vegetables :) The hull is made of polished stainless steel, glossy iron, glossy copper, and more metals with double and triple layers. Stiletto PRO After countless hours perfecting every detail and enduring a dozen or more flight tests, this 5KT, rated at 1G on Alioth, tourer can carry up to 2500KL worth of cargo to space without the assistance of AGG.(Auto pilot safe 3KT) This model does however come with anti-gravity placed as the centerpiece of the entrance hall meaning the technical limit is what you can safely lift to 1km from the surface of your current planet. Other notable features include warp capability, rare capacitor shield size M, XS roof garage and multiple control setup at the bridge. Comes furnished throughout with unique voxel decoration. You can find the entrance towards the front of the ship. There you’ll find the force field ramp and entrance to the main hall. On both sides of the hall you will find switches for lights, force fields and screens. At the back of the hall is a placeholder for the shield generator and in the middle is a center console where information about cargo, fuel and ship status can be displayed. By default I have chosen to use the open source LUA coded by Krengus at ASTCo which should remain updatable, Albatross HUD from CodeInfused in the back seat and Arch HUD from Archaegeo in the front main seat that i recommend to use as it flies a lot better Above the console area is a circular landing where an AGG can go and above the bridge, on the exterior of the ship, you will find the housing for easily placing a Warp Drive. The Stiletto was built in anticipation of a game wipe. I wanted the base model to be affordable in terms of elements. The Stiletto PRO is my attempt to push the hull to its limit and create the best performing version of the ship. Please try for yourself and leave me feedback in the comments. Vecna Ni is an XS core ship designed primarily for super fast and efficient alioth mission farming.
