The Dragonfly is the result of my first 3 days into Dual Universe. She was designed to lift me off of Haven and to Alioth. Boy, had I known there was rent to be paid, I might have stayed a bit longer. Anyways, the Dragonfly is a reliable and practical ship, biggest I could make her with XS size. She is a hybrid, easily gets you to space and does the Haven-Alioth back and forth trip multiple times before running out of juice. The Dragonfly also comes with a small interior and can be Upped with additional cargo whenever necessary. She is built smart, with maximum maneuverability and ideal weight distribution in mind. And on top of all that, she is pretty. You should be able to build her without the need to purchase anything with an assembly line M and by disassembling the pilot outpost starter base. The Gnome is all basic engine warp shuttle. Does 15 cells to jago fully fueled and 100 warp cells in cargo. all stats are with full lvl 5 bonus but 0 pilot skills. I got on DUC to update this ship and it turns out I never listed it at all. So here it is, the Admirari. It's an S core and configurable to your needs. designed to support modularity (i made that word up). Pop scanner pods, cargo pods, DSAT pods or just add on up to 6 Container L's on the racks. Hauls around 1kt with moderate piloting skills. I use it for market running because it's fast and powerful. 6 uncommon maneuver Atmo L and 4 uncommon military space L engines. It handles like a champ and didn't have to change anything flight wise when I started updating my ships for Athena. I rearranged the interior a bit to add in a second container M and just make it prettier in general. It's a treat to fly and fairly inexpensive to warp. coming in at just under 500t, 605t fully fueled. Atmo speed set at 1200 with no burning and space capable up to 25k km/h. This is a basic spaceplane with: 1)Ability to carry 21kL (<100t I guess ) in Atmo, very useful for hauling missions. 2)Low sustention speed and good maneuverability 3)Good space autonomy (an hour at full thrust) 4)Bad atmospheric autonomy(relatively. Full thrust will give you 700 km/h and ~1SU of flight. Can be increased by increasing your height or lowering the speed) 5)Good brakes 6)Maneuver engines for parking (thrust forward and sideways). Those have a separate fuel tank, so if you run out of fuel, just land and pump out of here. Elements: Most of them are basic and can be crafted in your backpack (exceptions are: container hub, M atmo-engine, cockpit, ECU and some decorative materials like luminescent glass) HUD: I'm using Albatross custom HUD for it's simplicity and height managing options (useful for hauling... just hit Alt-3 and you can leave it flying forward at set height). Cons are fuel displays: 50% means that you have run out of fuel for main engines...And only maneuver engines are left. RDMS: didn't touch it at all. Unburdened by the useless mass of atmo elements, it has a solid ~7g of space thrust and a max speed of about 39,000kmh, which lets it race to asteroids quickly to beat the competition. It comes with only two M containers inside, but there are eight racks on the exterior to attach extra containers - giving it a storage volume of up to 1.7ML. These racks are also a good place to attach other elements, such as a shield. The DSAT is built into the BP, but it's easy to remove and reinsert at will with an indicator for precise placement. There's also a slot for a warp drive at the tail of the ship, but it's optional. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES: • The Beltalowda comes with a DRM-free BP of a XS space station so that you can have a place to park the ship when not in use. You'll need another atmo-capable ship to haul the ore down to dirt. • For obvious reasons, don't spawn the Beltalowda in atmosphere. First place a XS space platform or two, then spawn the ship. The platform is DRM free, so you can make a core BP of it after spawning to make more of them. • If you want to convert the Beltalowda into a regular hauler, just remove the DSAT and replace it with 6 L containers, for a total of up to 14 L containers(2.7ML). Recommended max cargo mass is 2000t to keep the thrust above 1g. Listed stats are with level 4 technician/piloting talents and basic elements.
