Wanted something easy on the repairs and building costs, while still providing enough power to be viable in most situations. Result is the ORCA, a light weight ship on a S core. Comes equiped with 9 M containers for storage (so basically half a hub full of L containers), L fuel tanks (M for rockets), warp drive and everything you could need in a ship: VR, res pod, a bunch of scripts and various screen infos. Cargo capacity will vary alot depending on engines tier, handling talents and pilot talents. With all those maxed and using rockets, it should be able to carry up to 2kt out of 1g gravity. More reasonably, with basic engines and low handling / pilot talents, it will start at 300tons. Basic engines will probably cap near 500tons. Keep in mind it was originally designed with T3 engines and average pilot talents / maxed handling. So, for example, with basic engines and talents, it will be able to carry a DSAT out of 1g, but not by very much - if you come back fully loaded you'll most likely just crash. Ship is built on bottom of core with as little elements on top as possible, so you can place a DSAT or 3 scanners. Detailed interior, many hours spent on the voxels (finally used smooth tool!) Mk2 BP currently comes with basic engines and no rockets to make it easier to spawn. An elevator as elegant in design as it is in operation. This is a beautifully crafted elevator which can lift 5kt. It can be set up to follow a path perpendicular to the construct from which it was launched. This will allow elevators on the same, or adjacent, aligned cores to travel parallel paths to space, and arrive in the same relative locations in space as they hold on the ground. It does not use breadcrumbs, neither does it stop to correct deviation, as deviation is continually corrected while in flight. It maintains the same flight axis at all times, so does not become confused if it gets nearer to another celestial body than whence it started. Automatic docking is standard, with an extremely simple and reliable circuit. There are two setup modes, a simple one intended for first time deployment or testing, and a precise one, which uses a programming board, intended for parallel axes use, and after moving an elevator to a new location. Viper MK2 McQuaid Security is proud to bring you the Viper, in cooperation with the designer Wadiss and WadiCorp. If you want to hop around quickly between mining units or dash to the store and back for a few items, without taking your large fuel-sucking ship, look no further! The Viper can take you anywhere planetside while having a non-boxy appearance. Just look at the screen shots and note the fine voxel detailing throughout! The ship is outfitted with: -1 container S to hold misc. odds and ends from the market. -overpowered brakes so you can float down to any destination easily. -rounded non-boxy styling from nose to engines. -and more! I loaded the container with 56t of pure iron, hematite and other ores and this ship has no troubles at all flying this, however, although the hovers lift plenty of weight, it can't lift full iron amounts of weight (I can lift about 50% of the Container S full of iron with the hovers). I took off on a straight, smooth surface with all that iron. Sustentation speed is very low (90kp/h!) to it's easy to putt-putt in the air for perfect aim in landing. I also have a compactable version with no container and a single fuel tank in a different dispenser at the same location. The ship originally conceived by a former player of DU the "Whale Shark" is all space cargo power. The interior is left bare to allow for a personal touch to its owner. There is a placemnt for AGG and extra retro brakes and a sheild if desired. Color choices are your own given the new abilities to the BP.
