The Belovator is a lightweight shaftless space elevator that flies along a gravity line to transport your cargo and players into space. You can comfortably transport your assets from the planet surface to a space station without having to rely on an annoying AGG tower with an hour-long ascend or fiddly autopilot ships. Load up with cargo, select the target floor, wait, dock - unload! Belovator Octo: The Octo is our first attempt to break with the rule that an Elevator has to be a shoebox hidden away in a hole underground. It´s octagon shape is a refreshing alternative to the usual square. The carbon fiber materials used for the hull together with the custom landing pad (DRM-free, included in the purchase) make it a nice eyecatcher on your premises. It also features a custom forcefield configuration that has forcefields as ramps when it´s standing on the base pad and the regular flat bridges when it´s docked at the upper floors. - 1000 tonnes of cargo lift from the surface of Alioth without any piloting skills/talents - 4x Basic Container M - Advanced Maneuver, Freight and Military Engines - custom forcefield configuration - comes with static DRM-free S-core landing pad also suitable for S-core ships Stats are for unskilled pilots, cargo lift depends heavily on pilot skills. The lifting capability improves dramatically for a pilot with just lvl 2+ talents on atmo engines. The configuration of the elevator is done via Lua parameters and is limited to a few parameters to keep the complexity simple. Control of the elevator via touchscreen and/or HUD with very few buttons. ATTENTION: The game mechanics unfortunately do not allow for an octagonal shaft / dock in your spacestation, because it creates a rectangular hitbox around dynamic constructs. So the shaft / dock still has to be square. Fortunately the completely symmetrical octagon-shape of the Octo still makes for a pleasant appearance in a square dock. Some Tips for using the Pyro: - if you plan to get out of your seat in VTOL orientation, make sure that the ECU is armed and you entered the seat from e.g. the front hover engine ( need to be in a straight line in front of the pilot seat! ) This assures that when you exit the seat in vtol position, you land on the force field. - you can temp. disable the autolevel by holding left shift key whilst flying. as long as you hold shift, the autolevel is suppressed. This helps in doing some quick maneuvers. - you can enter your home coordinates in the LUA parameters. when piloting you can then press Shift+Alt*2 to set your homebase as the target destination quickly. - Update 2021.01.03 now all my ships have one more great function. Auto Altitude.. Just fly to the required alt and hit alt+2 to enable altitude hold. use alt3/Shift Alt 3 to increase/decrease target altitude by 100m.
