The Levante - "real" sailboat

The Levante by Hagbard "A person without dreams is like a boat without sails..." The Levante is a sailboat that allows you to experience the wind, the waves, the ride and heeling of a sailboat in DU. Big portions of the voxelwork for the hull was done by Singularity org. **IMPORTANT: read the BP placing instructions below!** BP Dispensers are at Marina Hagbard: ::pos{0,2,38.3028,62.7694,34.7477} I am offering this BP a lot cheaper then usually as i want to see the seas of our planet full with boats, so that you're all able to enjoy this new kind of construct. Features: - accurate simulation of wind, waves and the sea - sails settable by "G" key in 4 levels Shift+G reduces Sail surface by 1/4 - 2 steering options either you can steer with a non centering rudder or with A/D controls similar to how other constructs are being steered. Switch during operation by pressing "Alt+1" - engine limited to marina use (when sails are down). thrust Limit applies(max 10%) - extensively tested on the seas of Alioth (other planets might require adjustments, contact me for assistance) - Wind (&Rudder) Indicator (visible for the helmsman) - configurable sail texts & colors (see LUA parameters) - HoverEngine Technology allows almost infinite fuel autonomy - the Levante is compactable, so take it on your next vacation by the sea ;-) Blueprint Instructions: - there is one manual step required after setting the BP. go to build mode and right click the backward facing hover engine. under Advanced=>"disable thrust along gravity" has to be selected for the backward facing hover engine - if you want to have the original light colors, set back left to "255,0,0" and back right to "0,255,0" front light: enable blinking and set on duration to 0.1 This could be used for Regattas as well, as the speed is defined by the skills of the skipper and his/her ability to find the best course for maximum performance Some "sailing tips": - the speed you can reach depends on your angle towards the wind. the faster you go the more "heel" you will get and the more active correction of your course will be required to stay on a straight line. - It is not possible to sail directly into the wind. To sail against the wind direction you have to "cross". - to moor at your pier the auxiliary engine can be used, but only when the sail is down. It is limited to 10% of max thrust. - if you do not have a proper pier yet, you can hover up a bit using the space bar to get the boat on your plattform... (better build yourself a small marina & pier) - the ECU should always be activated/armed. when you leave the helm, this will keep the boat from sinking to the ground. After jumping on your pier, quickly touch the boat to moore it to the pier. - if you find that the boat is unable to stay on the water surface, this is usually some physic bug in the client. just get out of the seat and try again (maybe after maneuvering the boat a bit) BP's will be made available again soon(TM)

The Praefect is an entry level xs-core ship to move goods between planets and moons. Based on a scalable design, this ship provides decent cargo, good handling and efficient use for the player just getting into space travel. Good thrust at 2.1g on Alioth, 78t weight means getting up to around 80-100t off Alioth shouldn't be much of a problem. 6 Container S with a container hub provide good cargo capabilities of 48KL base and bringing moon ore back with 14g of brake force means an easy and safe reentry. Dagda has been a name I have assigned to my workhorse class of ships. This ship, for its size, is lightweight with the primary shell consisting of Carbon Fiber, with a small amount of Aluminium and Glass Light Voxels. The canopy windshield affords spectacular views of space as you travel and the command compartment is roomy and uncluttered with moderate lighting. The ship is equipped with an Advanced Medium Shield Generator, and has four large cargo containers and one small cargo container attached to a HUB. The HUB is centrally placed in the engineering section to offer a balanced load to the vessel, while the smaller of the five containers is accessible from the command area for access to cargo. There is sufficient space in the aft engineering section of the ship to add an AGG complete with pulsor units as well as a warp drive or extra cargo containers for additional storage volume. The top deck sports enough space to land 2-3 smaller vessels to act as a carrier and even has a secured elevator preventing undesired access to the ship. Seating is arranged for 5 persons, and the ship has a Rez Node, 2 VR Booths for personnel that would like to do missions or visit others during the long space voyage to other planets. There is also an inbound VR Pod so that you can allow your friends to come along without them feeling like they can't leave the ship without having to hitch a ride back. ;-)~ All doors and hatches are controlled through multiple buttons which are always accessible from the main command chair, and there are several screens and programming boards that you can program with your favorite ships tools or applications.

After 2 Months building and testing, its finally time to release our new Ship the Trinity! It comes in 2 Versions, a Tri Core Scanner and a Cargo Only Version. Both Versions have got a medium Shield Generator and a Warpcore. The Trinity S3 is a Outpost Deployment Ship. It has three Territory Scanners and some space for cargo for all the Elements you need for your Outposts. So right after finding your super worthy tile, you could have everything with you to deploy your Outpost. It should handle around 600t-1kt Materials for your Outposts depending on your piloting Skills. Small Atmo Engines on the side and in the front are making sure you are able to manveuer your Ship to the perfect spot to scan 3 tiles at once. It has T2 Maneuver Engines for longer scan sessions without refuelling and faster warmup times for your engines. The Trinity-C is the Cargo Version. I thought it would be a good idea to do a Cargo Only version because there might be ppl that tend to use the trinity for cargo. The Trinity-S3 isnt made for taking large loads with it, just enough to deploy some Outposts. So here is the Trinity-C with some more Containers on it and Atmo Engines Swapped to Full T2 Military Engines to give you some extra Lift Capacity. The Innos was originally built as a medium size cargo vessel, that was reliant on using an antigrav to transport large amounts of weight out of atmo. After noticing that some people (especially beginners) didn't have the means to buy or use an antigrav we decided to remove it and make some adjustments, enabling it to still transport up to 2kt out of atmo, so that players would still be able to do every aphelia mission without running into any sort of problems. You'll still be able to upgrade the maximum exit weight of the Innos by using an antigrav Should you run into any problems or have any questions relating the Innos feel free to send me a DM on discord.
