Auto Altitude.. Just fly to the required alt and hit alt+2 to enable altitude hold. use alt3/Shift Alt 3 to increase/decrease target altitude by 100m. Even when fully loaded with 840tons it is easily able to recover from a dead fall from 3000m with no engines.
