Select a few roids and mark down their Planet area and location. In the Safe Zone look for Uncommon asteroids and in the PVP zone look for asteroids that are over 200 SU away. In the safe zone you want roids that have not been broadcast very long so 1-3 days old, but in the PVP zone you want roids that are 3-9 days old. The reason for this is that more recent roids in the PVP zone have more action. Ideally you'll find a roid 3-9 days old that hasn't been touched and will be safe to mine without worry of Legion. The truth is, there are just too many roids for Legion to patrol and the further away from Alioth you are the harder it is for them to patrol. You may want to avoid Teoma as they have bases there and may patrol that region more often. Avoid any roids just over the PVP zone as this is where everyone gets killed. Legion targets it because its where alot of people go. Follow this advise and I'm sure you'll find success. You should make upwards of 5m/hr, so paying off the cost of the ship is easy resulting in a very good risk reward for PVP roiding. If you want to hunt and discover Roids, put a DSAT in the inventory and stick it on when needed. I'll offer a guarantee that if you have not paid off the cost of the ship with Roid earnings and you get killed following these instructions I will give you a free Blueprint and send you funds for new ship costs. Dark Guardian is a carrier ship! You can use this ship to give your fleet the support it needs when fighting far away. Zero Cool is unique experimental sci-fi style supersonic heat-resistant ship. @youtube = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bs4aii8Hk6c It's very easy to control and can lift about 2000t of cargo (give or take based on talents). It will very easily go over 1500km/h in lower atmo with only 30% throttle. It's powered by 6x uncommon maneuver atmospheric L engines, but stock engines will work fine too, they'll just eat bit more fuel and warm-up time is longer. It has about 17g lift from wings, which should be able to get 2000t of cargo into space from any planet's surface. most important part about this ship, is that it's equipped with heat shield, which prevents you from taking damage when going supersonic speeds in atmosphere. you can easily fly 2000km/h in lower atmo and 5000km/h in upper atmo. it's not 100% as it depends how good you are at flying, for example if you start turning at high speeds, there's a risk that some elements may take heat damage or break completely, but if you know how to fly and don't make any sudden turns, then no problem! I have gone around alioth twice at about 5000km/h and haven't had any issues. This ship is designed for effeciency and ease of use, it will get you from A to B faster than normal ships. It only has 2xM containers + 4x S containers, but you can easily squeeze 4 more S containers on it. This ship is almost as small as S core, but reasons why it uses M core, is because smaller size M core ships are more heat resistant and also so that you can tow S core ships with it.

Mule: Is the first (xs) ship I built myself, which was basically an oblong box with engines and wings. I kept adding items to the structure until I could fit no more on due to space constraints. The ship does fly mostly like I intended it to but it can be easy to overloaded with cargo even when moving ore. This ship was essentially my test ship and allowed me to roughly gauge how many engines etc. you need to atmosphere and space flight for a particular weight of craft and cargo. I have not flown it other than to take the screen shots and I can confirm it is fast ship in atmosphere but other than that I am sure it would need some tweaks and a real stress test to add more stats than I have provided already, given some of the game changes that have happened in the months since I stopped using this ship. Needless to say this ship was used my myself for quite some time until I managed to acquire the parts to start a first version of my ship Elemental.

My goal in this game has always just been to cruise around and explore, so the focus of the tinkering has been getting something that flies as well as possible, and I am pretty pleased with how it came out so I thought I would share. It is good for about 50t off of Alioth on the basic version depending on skills. Burn speed is up around 1850 so is pretty forgiving if you come back in to atmo a little hot. Container hub and engines centered on 0,0 so it stays balanced regardless of load. All medium engines so nice and fuel efficient. All a single honeycomb type so feel free to replace with your voxel of choice. Stats are listed for the "basic" engine version which uses pure carbon as the weight reference. Engines also easy to swap out, coordinates in the pictures, though it seems you need to pull the ailerons off to place the engines and put them back on when you are done. Whether you are brand new and looking to upgrade but not ready for the big large engine haulers, or have been around a while and just looking to try something different on the cheap, feel free to come by and check them out.
