Playing a vital role in the naval forces of the Martian Congressional Republic, and loaded with many of the cutting-edge military technologies that have come to define the Martian approach to warfare, the MCRN Corvette, or Corvette-Class Light Frigate, is a powerful and well-rounded attack craft, whose mission profile ranges from lethal anti-capital strikes to troop deployment and fleet escort duties. Though the vessel is named "Corvette Class" the ship is in fact a Light Frigate, but was designed specifically to fill the maneuverable fleet escort role historically attributed to corvettes, and named accordingly. As well as playing a crucial part in most MCRN battlegroups, the Corvette is often deployed as a patrol vessel, customs enforcement craft and reconnaissance ship, taking advantage of its long range and versatility to serve the cause of the Martian Republic across the breadth of the solar system. This ship is a pvp-fitted replica of the MCRN Tachi or later Rocinante from the scifi show 'The Expanse' and comes with 3 interior decks aswell as some additional free space in the "engineering" deck below a hatch in the lowest interior deck. This version, compared to Destrin's amazing M core replica, sports her original MCRN colors in her paintjob. The blueprint of the ship comes without weapons, as to make deploying the blueprint easier (and less expensive). The ship's default orientation is vertical and can switch to horizontal (normal) flight via gyroscope. You can either toggle it via ArchHUD on the pilot controller seat with alt+9 or you can toggle it in first person from either the gunner seat or pilot seat. This baby turns heads wherever you go. This is my personal daily driver. If you are looking for a ship that can haul multi kilotons of cargo then this is NOT the ship for you. This is not a workhorse. This is a piece of art. This ship was based on a 3D model which can be seen in the pics. This ship was built to scale as the model had human models built in. I had to highly modify the back end and add nacels in order to facilitate as much thrust as I could due to the unfortunate size of DU's engine models. I have tested this with 1KT of cargo leaving both entering and leaving Alioth with Level 4 talents. It is doable but it is not fun. I would say that this ship's happy place is around 800 tons. The top "hood" took many hours to nail down moving point by point to get the slope and lines just right. I would have loved to add more detail however I was limited by chunk complexity in most areas. Wanted something easy on the repairs and building costs, while still providing enough power to be viable in most situations. Result is the ORCA, a light weight ship on a S core. Comes equiped with 9 M containers for storage (so basically half a hub full of L containers), L fuel tanks (M for rockets), warp drive and everything you could need in a ship: VR, res pod, a bunch of scripts and various screen infos. Cargo capacity will vary alot depending on engines tier, handling talents and pilot talents. With all those maxed and using rockets, it should be able to carry up to 2kt out of 1g gravity. More reasonably, with basic engines and low handling / pilot talents, it will start at 300tons. Basic engines will probably cap near 500tons. Keep in mind it was originally designed with T3 engines and average pilot talents / maxed handling. So, for example, with basic engines and talents, it will be able to carry a DSAT out of 1g, but not by very much - if you come back fully loaded you'll most likely just crash. Ship is built on bottom of core with as little elements on top as possible, so you can place a DSAT or 3 scanners. Detailed interior, many hours spent on the voxels (finally used smooth tool!) Mk2 BP currently comes with basic engines and no rockets to make it easier to spawn.
