Black Icarus is my first supersonic heat-resistant ship build, it's cheap to make, but packs a punch! It's designed as fast travel ship as it can do 3000+km/h in atmosphere without taking heat damage. It uses specialized heat shield to prevent heat damage, see it in action on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kps0fKjOGPo This ship is good for running your daily errands quickly! It has enough cargo capactiy and lift to be able to carry stuff from/to markets and you can also do some surface mining. it takes 30-60 minutes to fill the cargo with ore when surface mining (depending on areas and talents) and that's something that most people are willing to do and this ship is perfect for those runs, it can circle entire alioth in under 10 minutes. It's not perfect as this was my first supersonic ship and you might break a wing or brake here and there, but just take it easy and you'll be fine. making sudden / sharp turns while going supersonic can cause more damage, so when going supersonic, keep it as steady as possible. I highly recommend custom hud with altitude hold capabilites, because it's most effective at about 1-2% atmo, you can keep throttle at about 10% and it will go 3000+ easily, while barely spending any fuel. I used this ship for my daily errands for a week before i had to refuel. It's rather cheap to build and uses all the basic parts. NOTE - i have NOT tested cargo lift, but based on stats, it should be able to do about 1200 tons depending on talents. I think most i ever did was 700t and it didn't have any issues.

A ship designed for BSW lead engineer dogface. The Diamondface is based on his favorite ship from Elite Dangerous: The Diamondback Explorer. Diamondface is a S-core all-rounder with a single L container and fully equipped for space for atmospheric travel. Safe type Space Engines allow for a rapid warm up and acceleration out of atmosphere. It also features a luxurious interior with bedroom, dinette and bathroom, as well as a respawn node. The design also incorporates a warpdrive which can be excluded on your personal build, if you choose. This ship was designed with aesthetics in mind, but dogface has painstakingly ensured the ship flies, turns, rolls, pitches and yaws smoothly with no overlapping axes, with balanced center of mass and abundant atmospheric lift. UPDATE: I have just upgraded the ship to latest specs compatible with the released game. Also upgraded most rooms, like the lounge and crew cabins etc. There is now even a Space Café on the ship :) ILLYRIA is my Flagship - The ship weighs several thousand ton, is ca. 128m long and has a cargo capacity of over 1 million liters. It also has 2 XL Space Engines + 2 Medium Space Engines for a total thrust of over 50 Million Newtons. Further, it has 14 Large Atmospheric Engines with 70+ Million N thrust. There is an Emergency Control Unit on the ship and in case you get killed, a resurrection pod is there as well. All critical elements are shielded by several layers of hardened steel. High End Elements include a large Warp Drive and the Anti-Gravity Generator. Illyria is primarily a Capital Cargo Ship - but I could not leave her completely defenseless, therefore I also put 2 Large Railguns on it. Space Radar is also included. Creature Comfort comes in the form of 10 Crew Cabins, with all furniture, Captain's Quarters, and 2 Forward - the R&R area - the largest interior area on the ship. There is also a Hydroponics Bay - for those long travels when you need to be able to grow your own vegetables :) The hull is made of polished stainless steel, glossy iron, glossy copper, and more metals with double and triple layers. "USS Langley, (CV-1/AV-3)" - The first US Navy Aircraft Carrier 1920-1942 While this is not a replica of that famous ship, it carries that famous name. The ship has been created as a no-nonsense purpose-built work ship. There are no Deco elements (there is room to add them if you desire), there are no fancy board rooms or lighting elements and plants and frilly things. The total element count is 633. The Langley has a large flat carrier deck that is greater than the size of an M core ship, as such it can accommodate the largest M core ships in the game while they have a full load, and that is what it was built for. While this is not a "Hauler" there are 34 Advanced Optimised L Containers below deck, 4 of them for Warp Cell and miscellaneous storage. There is a massive area "On Deck" to place cargo packs or containers and your favorite ships up to a fully loaded M core. The ship has been tested with 16kt of cargo off and on to a 1G planet it is being rated at 16kt, more than that is the Pilots responsibility. There are 30x Advanced Military atmospheric engines to push this to space, and 4x Advanced Military space engines to get it to max space speed. Space Thrusters are included to make navigation at a space station easy. There is space to add 8 more ATMO Engines if you do not use an AGG. Please take some time to compare the STATS to other ships. Every effort has been made to make the ship efficient and easy to manage. ALL elements on the ship that can be boosted, are boosted to level 5 non-PvP boosts. All listed attributes were taken with full fuel and level 5 pilot skills. 2 Command chairs, one with ARCH HUD and one with SAGA HUD.
