It can be placed with the lower door at ground level, with half the core below the ground to allow for an underground factory. Or the core can be raised up as high as you want, and the lower door and support structure can be copy and pasted to extend it to the ground. So, no more calibration tiles means time to own some proper mining rigs. This should make it easier...
