The plan was to test out how to make a space station about 65KM from the planet. Assuming I'd succeed the idea behind the station was to use it for making fuel and basic scrap without having to land on the planet. So I obviously succeeded at making the space station however, the location was completely wrong for the job. It turns out you need to make the space stations away from where your bases are and stock them with resources you need at those locations. That said it was fun doing it for the first time and the views are super.

This is the 'Expanded' version, the full on entry into the Omnifactory with all industry, transfer and storage elements configured for ease of expansion. This configuration uses 'double transfer storage' - each machine has its own primary input and output storage containers, with transfer units linking to secondary storage containers to accommodate for the onward link numbers required. Additional transfer units then feed to the primary storage of the next machines in the manufacturing sequence. Expanding the capacity of this factory is as simple as placing the new industry machine, linking the primary input and output containers and setting the machine to run the component desired, the 'racking' configuration allowing this to be accomplished with minimal effort. When thinking about purchasing and deploying this Omnifactory, do bare in mind this is a pricy investment - using over 1800 transfer units alone and requiring 7.2Mlitres of storage to deploy! It CANNOT be deployed with any particular elements deselected, as this would break the transfer system. Tired of hanging your ship in between the mining units every few days you visit your gold mine? Why not land in style on this luxury M-core landing pad? The top is flat for easy landing but below the real magic happens. On a lower deck, connected with two smaller cores your mining units will be waiting for you. Easily accessible with two ramps from the flight deck or by teleporter from the ground below. Be in absolute control as you calibrate up to 15 mining units without moving a single step, and before you leave have three Large containers at your fingertips to gather you hard earned ores. If you feel like getting your hands dirty you can use the access hatch to drop down to the bonus ores awaiting pickup. A quick elevator up will take you directly to the the flight deck, onwards to the next stop. If you are really in a hurry, all containers and Mining Units are also in reach from one area on the flight deck. The long and stable legs will make placing these cores a breeze, even on hilly ground. Instructions: Place M-core with the middle edge of the mining platform in the exact middle of three tiles. Then place the Left hand S-core, finally the Right hand S-core. If you mix up the order, it will give a nasty one voxel gap. No returns.
