Off the other side is the main corridor which curves forward to an integrated weapons control centre. This can access the rear sides of the embedded forward saucer lasers and their associated ammo containers. Off the main corridor are the lab, then passing the lounge and lavatory as one loops back around the rear saucer to enter the rear-centrally located Main Engineering where M Shield and Warp Drive are accessible. Passing to the other side of the saucer is a large segmented area that is open for your own customization, currently acting as general crew quarters. She has L Military Engines in her nacelles, a pair of M Military on the neck flaps and two more on the rear belly for a surprising amount of 'full impulse'. The saucer is packed with embedded L Adjustors giving her great agility. She can respond to pirates by using her high space thrust to get the enemy within M Laser range, shields up, open fire, close to S Laser range, make a pass, 180, fire rearward missiles. Hopefully by then they are deterred but if it comes to a slugfest you're not out much quanta as if you can screenshot your loss I'll give you another BP copy for free. The sabre A ship first made in beta and now completely overhauled with extra engines and voxel-work. It is a versatile ship that is made for scanning on every planet. It can easily take of from Alioth with basic pilot skills with 200T. i personally took 260T off Alioth with my basic pilot. After the scanning is done, the ship is perfect for hauling ore back from other planets and warping. Able to warp 400T of thades, teoma and jago and warping home for only about 75 warp cells. Perfect for the higher tier ore mining. Cost 24 warp cells to warp to jago fully fueled no cargo. Also good to know the ship is made with all basic engines which makes it pretty cheap to build. Keep in mind that the stats are given with high pilot skills and boosts. This is a special ship, developed to give a lift to up to 10 passengers or crashed pilots in need. What makes this ship so special is its ability to manage over-crowded market platforms as this is what it was designed for: while it cannot protect you from market-caused disconnects and error messages, it however can easily navigate on these platforms as no obstacle is high enough to cause any problem: Unbelievably, it can hover up to one hundred and two = 102 meters (!!!!!!!) above any PLATFORM or CONSTRUCT! Yes, 102 meters were the measured maximum! Otherwise around 30 meters. We measured on the Alioth Market 6 platform which itself is 222 meters above sea level. Please refer to the screenshots. We also made sure it can reach a nice little speed, its possible maximum speed was never measured as we had to limit acceleration to 2,250 km/h (that we now call SMS = Safe Maximum Speed) to avoid damage to elements (one of the front adjustors) that we observed starting to happen at 2,256 km/h. When we shut off all engines at maximum altitude (around 4,600 m) at SMS, this ship is so airworthy it took over 20 minutes to gently glide down and land. As this ship was designed for passengers, it provides a great view thanks to large window areas and special enheightened seats positioning. You will see. And finally, we gave a very unusual yet pleasant shape to this high-speed taxi, partially inspired by those air buses seen on Coruscant, center of the Galactic Republic, in Star Wars. SIDE NOTE We had a big smile when we found out that our ship can give a few minutes of sub orbital experiences to passengers, just like Virgin Galactic's "VSS Unity" (Richard Branson) or Blue Origin's "New Shepard"" (Jeff Bezos). To do that, simply put all engines to full power, and aim upwards in "Ground Object!" mode or "Flying Object" mode. This will get you out of the atmosphere. But of course, gravity will eventually get you back and you then can do it again. So you see, you can now finally become a serious competitor to Richard Branson and Jeff Bezos! Years of dedication and passion have resulted in the construction of the Calico. Hand crafted with the highest level of voxel detail and deliberate element placement of any ship I’ve made before. The Calico has everything you need in a warp shuttle and so much more. Inspired by the Star Atlas “Calico Hero” and adapted to the mechanics of Dual Universe; the Calico is engineered to rival any small core warp shuttle available in game. Entering the ship from either side will reveal a wide open cargo hold for installing additional containers or securely storing an XS speeder. On the front walls you will find switches for toggling on/off the lights and screens throughout the ship and on the back wall 3 Programming Boards. The top Programming Board enables the Ship Info script found in the cockpit. The reinforced door leads to the cockpit and up the stairs to the two main flight controllers, both of which come with Arch HUD GFN version preinstalled. When seated you will find a screen displaying the Shield Activator Script (written by RobRocketPants and updated by FinalX) and a screen displaying Ship Info (script by Krengus of ASTco) for easy access while flying. The unique glass canopy spanning the length of the ship provides the pilot and passengers with an unparalleled sense of openness and spatial awareness. Towards the back of the ship and either side of the Resurrection Node are access ladders to the living quarters. Upstairs you will find the 3D Augmented Reality Damage Report (script by Koruzarius), 2 passenger seats, the Container HUB and the RGB light control (script by Krengus of ASTco). From the living quarters you have access to the fuel tanks, however 2 hatches on the roof can also be used to access the same tanks from outside. The Calico comes with a mix of Advanced Safe and Military Space Engines varying from size S to L and 4 Advanced Military Atmospheric Engines size L. The default is our recommended engine loadout however you can easily swap any engine using the flat surfaces found behind the engines when removed. Simply align the new engines to the existing voxel designs and remake the links.
