This ship should preferably not be directly into battle, but it should be able to take a few hits and hopefully the rest of the fleet will have time to protect it before it breaks. Serenity is a tri scanning hauler that will not only scan but give you 10L containers and enough power to lift them. It is warp capable and has optional AGG for the cost of the AGG and pulsars (around 6.5M). Because the game has changed a lot since this unit was designed and because ground mining on the planet has been removed, the mining plugins have been removed. The design of the unit has been improved to accommodate the "no stacking of elements" rule and more thrust has been added. A hover engine has been added to allow the player to stand still for hours. A new plugin has been added: Harvester. It allows you to store the location in a database with a timer. Time to head to the market, and pick up some stuff? What will you need for that? A container! I've built a market runner/small hauler, that looks like a container. :P It's 150% the size of an Expanded Basic Container XXL, so it's nearly as long as a full S core. It will take 1.5 kT without problems, and if you have decent piloting talents, its should also handle 2 kT. I've personally taken 2.25 kT of cargo into space without difficulty, with level 5 buffs and level 4 piloting talents. See stats on the last picture.
