The are part of the heat shield and when they are destroyed, just leave them like that and it will help protect the ship from heat damage. This is an updated version for the X4 Surferbord. This is design to be used with the Tellus scanner ship.

The WSS Merchant Prince Mk.4C A5S4 is a sleek, entry-level courier ship for anyone looking to get started and look good doing it. It sports a fully enclosed flight-deck with extensive electronics, with crew positions for the pilot, a weapons officer, and a mission officer. A six-seat passenger section is well appointed with excellent views, and is secured in flight by a crew-controlled passenger hatch and crew door. Electronics include atmospheric RADAR, 2 space RADARs, ECU, Telemeter, Screen + Programming Board, Emitter and Gyroscope. Additionally, navigation lights, search lights and beauty lights are positioned across the ship, and switch-controlled. The design has been extensively flight tested, and will do full barrel rolls on climb-out with 50T of cargo and six passengers, plus Split-S and full loops above 1500m AGL. As an executive passenger courier with 2.5 tons of cargo per passenger, it will "super cruise" in the top 5% of atmosphere at Mach 3 (3600km/h) for rapid arrival to any global destination. The Radium is the newest ship from PINT. Capable of long range recon missions and exploration. It's 4 large containers allow for mission running and light cargo. Capable of leaving Alioth at 3.0kt total weight. With Full Fuel the usable payload is 2.0kt. Stop by Phalanx Station or VR to "Phalanx Radium" to see this ship in person.

The Whale is a small core hauler/carrier that is a perfect second ship for people that like to do small mission (180K Alioth - Alioth with spacehop). The same model ship that Luthen Rael prefers in Andor, the Fondor Haulcraft is a small-core hubrid hauler with warp drive. It has the equivalent of 1 1/2 Large containers of cargo space. It can lift around 450 to 600 tons off Alioth. Its meant to be a daily driver. Small enough to warp, large enough to carry a respectable load, and fast enough to get in and out quick. Notice the full detail interior as close to the show ship as I can manage. Round hallways! I build a lot of ships, but I really like this one and its my current daily driver. A relic from beta this Star Trek-themed market/mission runner is a very useful tool in ones arsenal: SMALL SIZE: Light weight and designed to be a tight fit for landing on larger craft. Has a whopping 8 XS containers situated in the slimmest configuration possible (you might even have wiggle to get in but there is room for a pilot and passenger!) POCKET: ***Converts to outstanding pocket ship when you remove space engines/tanks and XS containers LOW COST: Using as few engines as possible this capable model fits basic equipment all around but really shines when upgraded! (Uses 1 Med Atmo, 2 Small space engines) *Recommend having a few pilots skills if you plan to regularly break atmo on 1g with full cargo

I got on DUC to update this ship and it turns out I never listed it at all. So here it is, the Admirari. It's an S core and configurable to your needs. designed to support modularity (i made that word up). Pop scanner pods, cargo pods, DSAT pods or just add on up to 6 Container L's on the racks. Hauls around 1kt with moderate piloting skills. I use it for market running because it's fast and powerful. 6 uncommon maneuver Atmo L and 4 uncommon military space L engines. It handles like a champ and didn't have to change anything flight wise when I started updating my ships for Athena. I rearranged the interior a bit to add in a second container M and just make it prettier in general. It's a treat to fly and fairly inexpensive to warp. coming in at just under 500t, 605t fully fueled. Atmo speed set at 1200 with no burning and space capable up to 25k km/h.
