Located on just a Static Core S, this spacious Mining Outpost can be equipped with up to 6 Mining Units and 4 Large Containers. The Outpost also has a casual office floor with VR Pad and Screen to help you quickly see your MUs progress, your storage capacity, and your calibration needs. All in the comfort of an armchair! The construct has been designed with variable land heights in mind, allowing you to sink the foundations down by 2-3 meters, to ensure a sleek and smooth access to the building, and preventing half of it 'floating' away. The plan was to test out how to make a space station about 65KM from the planet. Assuming I'd succeed the idea behind the station was to use it for making fuel and basic scrap without having to land on the planet. So I obviously succeeded at making the space station however, the location was completely wrong for the job. It turns out you need to make the space stations away from where your bases are and stock them with resources you need at those locations. That said it was fun doing it for the first time and the views are super.

This mining platform was designed to mine up to 4 ore types using L mining units. While the mining platform will default to one mining unit per T1 ore, this can easily be changed to mine different ore with upgraded mining units. To expand the number of mining units, just link to the additional units to the mining PB and to one of the containers. To modify the ore type, rename the container element and replace the ore with the new ores full name. Adding/modifying the mining units or containers will require the programing boards to be restarted. This is an early release version of the platform, so some of the items have been reduced or removed due to availability or cost. To further save on deployment cost, you can change the honeycomb type to fit your available ore type.
