The Levante by Hagbard "A person without dreams is like a boat without sails..." The Levante is a sailboat that allows you to experience the wind, the waves, the ride and heeling of a sailboat in DU. Features: - accurate simulation of wind, waves and the sea - sails settable by "G" key in 4 levels Shift+G reduces Sail surface by 1/4 - 2 steering options either you can steer with a non centering rudder or with A/D controls similar to how other constructs are being steered. Switch during operation by pressing "Alt+1" - engine limited to marina use (when sails are down). thrust Limit applies(max 10%) - extensively tested on the seas of Alioth (other planets might require adjustments, contact me for assistance) - Wind (&Rudder) Indicator (visible for the helmsman) - configurable sail texts & colors (see LUA parameters) - HoverEngine Technology allows almost infinite fuel autonomy - the Levante is compactable, so take it on your next vacation by the sea ;-) Blueprint Instructions: - there is one manual step required after setting the BP. go to build mode and right click the backward facing hover engine. under Advanced=>"disable thrust along gravity" has to be selected for the backward facing hover engine - if you want to have the original light colors, set back left to "255,0,0" and back right to "0,255,0" front light: enable blinking and set on duration to 0.1 This could be used for Regattas as well, as the speed is defined by the skills of the skipper and his/her ability to find the best course for maximum performance Some "sailing tips": - the speed you can reach depends on your angle towards the wind. the faster you go the more "heel" you will get and the more active correction of your course will be required to stay on a straight line. - It is not possible to sail directly into the wind. To sail against the wind direction you have to "cross". - to moor at your pier the auxiliary engine can be used, but only when the sail is down. It is limited to 10% of max thrust. - if you do not have a proper pier yet, you can hover up a bit using the space bar to get the boat on your plattform... (better build yourself a small marina & pier) - the ECU should always be activated/armed. when you leave the helm, this will keep the boat from sinking to the ground. After jumping on your pier, quickly touch the boat to moore it to the pier. - if you find that the boat is unable to stay on the water surface, this is usually some physic bug in the client. just get out of the seat and try again (maybe after maneuvering the boat a bit) BP's will be made available again soon(TM)

The Volt is a compactable ship that is really fun to fly. It comes with 2 basic medium atmo engines that are upgradable and 1 medium fuel tank. No space elements nor container. With the basic engines it can get you around 1000 km/h (Higher with better engines and talents). You can change the colors as you please when you deploy it, though I recommend staying with plastic or lighter. The Bp is built with basic and cheap in mind room to expand as u make more money or more items yourself. The Container capacity is with just 1 M container on Bp able to hold 4 so cargo easily expandable. Highly maneuverable runabout designed for traversing large space stations quickly and efficiently. Starlantis and Utopia II for example. Mult-axis space engines and plenty of adjustors make this easy to fly and navigate in 360 degree space. Each org depends on the flight skills of their members. Here is a small craft that was, from the very begin, developed to be a training ship, for the role to raise understanding and skills of new gamers as pilots, as navigators, as gunners and as commanders. The craft features all types of seats: - hovercraft seat - navigator seat - gunner seat - commander seat And two eats of each of them - one for the trainee, one for the instructor. There are four standard encampment seats to allow more students to be part of the training and to wait for their turn midair. Each side has a big gate for easiest access for our little freshlings. :-) The small special craft is further equipped with a small gun and ammo box, atmo and space radar, several cargo containers and hub, atmospheric engines, space engines, and even a rocket engine, to allow to teach the full bandwidth. It lifts off at low speed, raises easily, can glide well, and also reaches space easily. The cabin is spacious, and most elements can be reached from inside the cabin - ideal to allow the student to see the links in between elements, and learn how to set links. Adjusters and retro rockets are mostly sunken into the hull to avoid overheating. The cockpit allows a good view, and the instructors sit in the seats behind and slightly above the seats for the trainees. There are two strong bottom space engines for vertical take off from space stations, they have their own fuel tank that should be kept empty during regular flights. My own org uses 5 of these ships at different locations for the training, and other orgs started to use this training ship, too.

"Valdez V2" Built as a Serious hauling Vessel. The ship has been created as a no-nonsense purpose-built work ship. There are no Deco elements, there are no fancy board rooms or lighting elements and plants and frilly things. Very easy to deploy with alternate color choices. The total element count is 512 as delivered. The Valdez uses 18 Advanced Optimized L containers for Cargo and 2 Advanced Optimized M containers for Scrap & Warp Cells. There are 24 Advanced Military Atmospheric Engines & 4 Advanced Safe Space Engines. It has been tested leaving Sanctuary with 10kt of Cargo (12.6 kt total ship mass). It will surely lift more from a 1g planet but 10kt it what it is being rated at. This is not a build for the Novice player, due to the expense of the elements, however it will fly well in the hands of any pilot. - AGG and Warp drive are built in. - ALL elements on the ship that can be boosted, are boosted to level 5 NON PvP skills. - All listed attributes were taken while in VR so they reflect zero pilot skills, and the ship was dry and empty. So you're collecting some roid-rage at all the Safe Zone ores you're mining in to your Weird Science mk2. You're perusing the nearby PVP asteroids that are close by and boy do they look tasty!
