I am pleased to present you all the first of my release builds, the Danube Class Runabout. In a future update I will be supplying add-on mission S cores with flexible configurations. This base model has 5 L Atmospheric engine slots and 4 L Space engine slots along with 2 supporting M space engines. Multiple hardpoints for weaponry both fore and aft mounting. Can be used with or without rocket engines or L shield without changing the look of the vessel. If requested, a custom registry plaque can be affixed to the fore section. The Valkyrie RAR represents the newest addition of the Metsys Industrial Systems' fleet of purpose-crafted spacefaring vessels, as well as the continued progression of craftsmanship of this rather quiet manufacturing shipyard. With their goal of creating a reliable all-rounder ship, capable of fulfilling a multitude of roles, yet remaining distinctively generally performant for what ever job the ship may be used, MIS succeeded in creating the Valkyrie "Reliable All-Rounder". Despite the Valkyrie's unique and unorthodox design, this atmosphere-space-hybrid may be pushed to transport up to 3 kilotons of cargo, or 3 times her dry weight. Equipped with a medium advanced shield module by default and suitably unoccupied hull spaces, the ship may be used as an armed blockade runner, intentionally refitted for combat roles or it may simply rely on its shield to escape any confrontation all-together. Naturally the Valkyrie also comes with warp module technology to quickly reach any desired destination of her captain. Additionally the MIS shipyards put a certain focus on interior design of the ship to maximize comfort for long journeys. The crew deck offers space for up to 3 additional crew members, a kitchen, a workstation computer, wardrobes, a medbay and naturally a shower and a bathroom. The captain may enjoy an additional personal bedroom with a viewport out to the stars, aswell as their own personal bathroom. And for tactical mission briefs, presentations, crew management or route planning the Valkyrie comes stock with a CIC/office room. By seperating interior and exterior hull materials, deployment of color variations of the ship is made possible without necessarily impacting the interior design and color choices. This helps in doing some quick maneuvers. - you can enter your home coordinates in the LUA parameters. when piloting you can then press Shift+Alt*2 to set your homebase as the target destination quickly. - Update 2021.01.03 now all my ships have one more great function. Auto Altitude.. Just fly to the required alt and hit alt+2 to enable altitude hold. use alt3/Shift Alt 3 to increase/decrease target altitude by 100m. This baby turns heads wherever you go. This is my personal daily driver. If you are looking for a ship that can haul multi kilotons of cargo then this is NOT the ship for you. This is not a workhorse. This is a piece of art. This ship was based on a 3D model which can be seen in the pics. This ship was built to scale as the model had human models built in. I had to highly modify the back end and add nacels in order to facilitate as much thrust as I could due to the unfortunate size of DU's engine models. I have tested this with 1KT of cargo leaving both entering and leaving Alioth with Level 4 talents. It is doable but it is not fun. I would say that this ship's happy place is around 800 tons. The top "hood" took many hours to nail down moving point by point to get the slope and lines just right. I would have loved to add more detail however I was limited by chunk complexity in most areas. SC-3130 Bullfrog Light Cargo is an S-Class hauler designed to deliver 300 tonnes of payload and 12 passengers to orbit reliably and with minimal fuss. It has excellent in-space docking / maneuvering capabilities, reasonable electronics, rugged design and good aesthetics. Single-pilot ready, but has fitted space for a second crew member to aid in navigation and other flight duties.
